Wonder how you get the old one off and the new one in then if you don't take the hatch apart

It does look higher on the sides. And whats with the bashing of our LED headz product? I mean ours too is a full replacement and we use EXACT oem parts. Looks good though.

It will look like stock still right? Despite the brake light going all the way to the end.

Jeezuz you people take it way too seriously. I just said it looks better because it fills out the entire bar. The product I got from Led Headz was the KIT which is NOT a direct replacement - it was one that I'd have to spend a lot of labor on to do. It doesn't fill out the entire bar. I don't have enough time to spend on my car to be able to actually do the mod, so when Phil from Oznium offered this to me, I jumped at the chance. Sure the outside most LEDs look like they're higher - i didn't take many pics of it lit up or from variable angles. How can you say the "quality of the viewing angle doesn't look as good as the Stock LEDs?" I have 3 pics posted from about the same angle. You can't say it's not as bright from the pictures either - I don't overexpose my pictures at night.

And yes - even though it's a direct replacement, you still need to open up under the hatch and get in under the plastic liner.

From the outside it looks exactly like stock.
Comparison of my original taillight and the Oznium Prototype.

OMG !!! Just what does it mean ( krdshrk ) when you say it is a direct replacement and easier to install than what the " heads " do ? Too funny . Theirs IS a direct replacement . They ARE actual TC TBL s AND they WILL install the same . So many in here are uptight about the SLIGHT gap at the end . Get a life guys . With or without , it looks fine . Besides , only TC owners ( for the most part ) will know you did the mod . It looks good .

^^^ WHOAAA WHOAAA..

prices for the direct replacement are just as cheap as the Oznium's replacement, if not cheaper.

are you thinking of clearcorners or the supposed VRD tbl that they have?.. they're the ones with the $300 pricetag.

it's nice to have competition.. and seeing as Phil is a great friend, this is nothing I'm too concerned about.. just more options for people to choose from.

direct replacements for either the led-headz or oznium will be pretty much simliar in price.. but the offering of the DIY kit is a cheaper alternative for those who want to save some money and/or take a crack and putting something together for themselves.

i personally own a TBL by the LED Headz, and the install was a super breeze (done in a frys parking lot in like 20 minutes.. haha). while it may not go all the way to the edges the sucker is still super bright. :D

can you take a pic of your TBL where all LEDs are lined up?

or are they really not straight?

NOTE: the top of the 3rd brake light has a very gradual "curve" over it's entire 20" length. The curve is pretty flat in the middle where the OEM LED's are. However on the empty portion, where the extra LED arrays are added, the curvature won't let you put the in new arrays so they're perfectly flat and in-line with the stock LED's. There will be a slight downward angle to the arrays. OR if you have the LED's offset so they are parallel to the stock LED's, you'll still have a 1/8" offset from the stock lights. I supposed if you were really determined to make the LED's "perfectly" in a straight line with the OEM LED's, you could dremmel out more of the backing support at such an angle you could fit the light but that would result in the LED's shining through the "border" of the lens.

Just thought I'd add the link to the discussion going on over at the Oznium forum. Phil's got some pics of his own up as well...

I think the TBL from the LED_Headz looks better and more like OEM. The only benefit I could think of with Oznium is the warranty, assuming they decide to offer one.
