how much did you guys pay to get the front lip painted? and where should i get my lip?

flea def has the skills and know-how when it comes to paint and body. i took my rs1 lip to a very reputable shop and paid $150 for the prep/paint. i paid $50 for the lip (got it used).

the best thing to do is try to talk to folks in the car scene, not sure about your area, but around here there are alot of lowkey painters doing small stuff at the house on the side, i had my front lip painted for around 60 bucks paint and all, napa can mix up the paint and the painter already had clear, so i spent like 10 bucks on paint and gave him 50, came out awesome. just ask around cause most big shop dont have the time to do small things when the booth is always filled with cars, plus they were quoting me like over a 100 bucks just for the front lip, hate to know how much to have a full lip kit painted.

and when i had my rs1 lip, i got it from a seller named zoomzoom4u on ebay, i have ordered about 4 lips from this guy and never had a problem, and he ships really fast. total was 125 shipped, not sure were flea saw it that cheap, but then again i ordered mine a year ago, so the price may have dropped

Thanks buddy! If people are local I'll knock down the price. Just pay a minimum of $80 for me and buy the paint, pint costs anywhere from $34 - $85 (depending on the amount of metallic/pearl flake).

Ew god.. that is an awful mix of colors if you did the SS/gray and FM.

Yes, all by myself. A few of my friends might help with the masking and prep work. But they owe me. I helped paint, clear, sand and buff their cars.

Too bad you don't have a BSP, you could easily get away with leaving it unpainted without people taking a second look.

But yea, I recommend asking around for backyard/garage painters with proven quality in their work, they'll usually charge a lot less than the big-dawg bodyshops do. Or you could just leave it unpainted and go for the Panda look?
