Default PIC REQ's - Violet/Purple/Pink Bulbs & HID's

I was wondering if anyone else had on violet/purple headlights.

I was considering them myself actually.

If anyone has bulbs or HID's of this colour temp.,
feel free to post up some pictures.

So far I was only able to find a small picture of the
violet bulbs on the Luminics website.

and your opinion will change on a blacktop road at night in the rain when you cant see the road... its not an opinion, it is a fact.. colored lighting will decrease usable light by over 30%.. and thats being conservative...

but everyone has the right to rice out there ride yes! it is illegal for a reason! FYI...

Have you ever sat in a car with purple headlights? i have never had any visibility problems while driving in the rain. Maybe they did those studies on halogen based headlamps but my hids lit up everything on the road. And yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion and i chose to rice my car out with purple hids. Great thing is it did it's job to stand out and i wasn't like everyone else with hids having blue or white on the road. Friends can spot me on the road easily just from my headlights and i have not had a problem with the police yet.

Rock on purple!

i just dont see why you want to stand out like that.. drawing too much attention to yourself isnt all that great IMO.. id rather blend in when it comes to lights.. here in WI, youd be nailed b4 you left your driveway w/ those..

only if they change the bulbs.. high end cars come w/ 4300K (white) light only.. no car company does any differnt.. they are all under 4500K.. they are ALL pure white from the factory.. the blues and purples come ONLY from the projectors.. and that color is only at cutoff, not what lays on the road.... like this pict from my HID A4 retro into a 00 grand am gt
color from quality cars/kits are from the cutoff of the projector only.. not the usuable light... so, if you say there is alot, then it has to be more kids putting in 8000K rebased kits to fit there cars.. which is illegal in itself as there is a thing called the "HID BAN". if it didnt come w/ HID, then its illegal.. but like everything else, its realy only illegal if ya get caught...

The blue and purple you see in higher end cars is likely due to the projector, not the bulb.

Let's not get off topic shall we?

Thanks.

But just to add, I like the purplish pink HID temp. It's all personal preference.
I'm more of a exterior kind of guy and I've seen them on the road on a fixed up Mercedes SLK.
I followed him just to look at em' from different angles.

I didn't say that was a bad thing...my headlights are uber-yellow.

And back on topic:
I thought about tryin' 'em too. But I didn't want to waste the money if the output was unuseable. Try them and let us know.

Actually,
