Default Pics of hood pins and alternatives to them needed

any tc's running CF hoods with hood pins, please post pics of it. also, besides the aerocatch thing (which i really don't understand), what are the alternatives to hood pins? i really DO NOT want to drill into the hood, and i don't want to have to look at pins on the outside......

depending on the brand of the hood, the latch on most current CF hoods do not require hood pins as they are strong enough to be held down.

there may be racetracks though that require them for safety concerns. in that case, lemme find some pictures for you tonight unless someone here beats me to it. you will have to drill to install them, no way around that.

has anyone gotten any info on the hoodpins issue? I bought a set, they look pretty nice, but having trouble getting it to lock. Its not your standard pin and latch, its got a locking mechanisim with a key. Heres a link:

Now my question is:

Have any of you guys seen this system? installed it before? and if so can you help?

Yeah, I've already made the holes in the hood. Didnt take too much work. Taped up where I was gonna drill, and went slow with the bit. But now... since the hood is at a slant, and the actual pins are straight up, it wont lock. it fits into place, but wont latch.

BTW... great pic! I wouldnt go as much with the CF, but it looks great. Ill post a pic of my car w/pins when i up load it

^^What brand of pins did you use? I didn't realize the curve would be a problem, but now that I know it is, I'm gonna have to get pins that can work with it.....any suggestions? Can't wait for pics.
