when you get the new one, throw some blue loctite on there. No need to use the red and using nothing can suck too as you can see. I REALLY dont suggest using red loctite b/c a friend of mine did and when someone tried to steal his antenna and couldn't, they snapped it in half and then had to go through hell to have the whole piece removed and replaced.

it costs like $4 at home depot. Thats where I got it, but you can buy it at lowes, walmart, etc i'm sure.

Btw, that sounds like a lot more work than just buying the loctite and forgetting about it, but hey, thats your choice!

No I meant the one where there is some sort of key. What if oneday you needed to take the antenna off, how would you get it off if you use locktite?

...... an antenna that uses a key...??

if you use loctite... you use pliers to take it off... and/or with heat if you get the stronger stuff... it only helps deter theft really... cause if someone really wanted to steal it.... it won't prevent that from happening...

even if you find this so-called magical, make-believe, in your dreams, keyed antenna.....

can i have some of what you're smokin?

hmm... must be thinking of the antenna itself..

there are those retractable thingy ones that can be locked with a key to keep it down..... but yeahh....

totallllllllyyyy different concept.
forget different page.. it's more like a different book.

I'm sure there are a few guilty people here. I'd be willing to bet good money.

It's probably one big circle of people gettin jacked and being stupid and just stealing it from someone else.

. . .

but I've been meaning to get some Locktite. is that stuff conductive? I don't want to lose reception quality.
