Default Problems with my HID + VRD Fog

OK, I hooked up my HID kit on the VRD harness without a problem,
but most of the times only one side lights up.
When I push the switch they both light up but then the left fog goes out.
It takes a couple of try before it stays on.

Anyone have any idea what may be causing this?

Sounds like it might be a problem with your ballast, have you tried contacting the person who sold you the hid kit? Also post up info on the hid kit as well so other people who have it can chime in on their experiences.

The kit is from Umnitza.
It's a 55W Digital Slim Kit.

The 50W kit...?,
I've been talking to him about my 50W kit lately...
He responds pretty fast so you should have no problems with getting it worked out.

slim kits usually mess up. ive had experience with slim kits for myself and my friend. they were both 35w and sometimes they dont light up. i went and got the same kit with big ballasts from the guy and then it works fine. one friend had big which work fine, and the guy with slim had problems with the bulb igniting. i'd stay away from slim kits.

i mean do you have a harness for the HID, black ground wire and red wire connecting to the battery? I had the same issue like you, when i push the power button only one would turn on and after a few tries both would turn on. This usually means that the HID kit is not getting enough power, getting a wire harness for the hid kit solved my problem.

I didn't get a relay/harness when I got the kit but the VRD wire harness has a relay.

Any help on how to wire that extra relay/harness or where to get one?

Do I really need another relay/harness?
Any help on how to wire that extra relay/harness?
The one that came with the VRD is not enough

1. Visit this website http://www.mobilehid.com/scionlife

2. Scroll to the bottom and look for this "One H1/H3 wiring harness- $20 shipped!

3. Buy it

4. Hope these pics can help with the install

i still think its a ballast issue. small ballasts usualyl fail. ive tried them 3 times and they all failed. 2 different companies.

The slim ballasts I have seem to be prone to certain 'shocks' under normal driving conditions. I keep getting weird bulb pattern vibrations with mine but every time I relocate the ballasts, they seem to react differently. Seems to be a combo of bad bulbs and ballasts...who knows.

I don't know about that......
I tried each ballast on there own and they did light up without a hitch individually.
The problem seems to be when both need to light up together.
