Default Question about Parking Light

I've searched about LEDs in parking lights and they said it burnt out really fast..
So I think I am getting PIAA Plasma Blue bulbs

http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/dsp_part_detail.cfm?vmakeid=001&vmodelid=100&vcatyear=9999&vnopinum=947%2B0552&vTitle=Lighting-Bulbs%20(Miniature)-PIAA-Plasma%20Blue

Only about 11 dollars + shipping I guess

Anything bad about these bulbs? Why do you guys use LEDs?

Your opinions will help~!

Thanks![/quote]

who said LED's burn out really fast?

LED's are better because:

- they don't get nearly as hot (thus being much, much more efficient)
- they illuminate 1/5 of a second faster
- they last 100,000 hours
- they turn on instantly (unlike regular bulbs which dim on and off)
- requires very low voltage
- more durable
- waterproof

But that's just my 2 cents... ;)

They burn out REALLY fast when used in the headlight housing because of the heat the headllight bulbs are putting out. Anywhere else, of course they'll outlast regular bulbs.

this is just my feedback.
i got my piaa blue parking light...
they are dark blue, a little purple
in my opinion, they aren't bright enuough that people can see unless its almost dark, and it is the time that u have to turn on your headlights... so they don't really see your blue parking light
i would try different blue parking lights, something brighter
i never tried other blue parking lights so i don't know how bright others are.

i have leds in mine for a good while now.
it really depends on if they burn out quick or not.
the pair i just got rid of were good for about 9/10 months.
which for about $5 i had no problem about getting more.
other peoples have burnt out way faster.

i think youd get the brightest and less heat prone from buying regular white bulbs and going to pepboys and getting the blue covers for them and doing that. which ones this pair burn out is what I am going to be doing.

heres my pics of the leds i have now.

and non of the "blue" regular bulbs i have had lit up blue, it was always more of a turquise/green.
