Default Rust on disk breaks

My BSP Tc breaks seems to be rusting up. Is this a problem? What can I do about it?

As soon as you start driving and tap the brakes, the pads will "sand" the rust right off the rotors. It happens when the rotors get wet and set for a while. There have been several threads on this topic already.

Nothing really. Brake discs are made of iron and will rust very quickly in wet or humid environments. Your best option is to replace them with some rotors that are zinc or dacromet coated or have painted hubs and vanes. The rust is purely cosmetic and will not effect longevity or performance of the parts. The swept area of the rotors where the pads contact the rotor will still rust when wet, but will be swept away as soon as the brakes are applied when the vehicle is in motion.

Rust on the rotors themselves? Or just the components?
