Getting there! Next week will be more realistic though. But here's a printed sample that was done to verify the file in comparison to the original.

Sample was printed on a Dimension printer. And now that it's good to go, it will be now printed on an Objet SLA printer. It will result in better print quality, and a whole lot less finishing on my end.

That's coo that you have acess to the 3D printer..
I've seen Z printer, but the piece is a little brittle..
There was another printer that was strong and it does clear piece, but forgot the name..

Yea, it's going to take some of my little "projects" i've been working on to fruition - finally!

I've been messing w/ my Next Engine scanner for a bit over a month, and hopefully will be at the point where I can produce usable scans quicker.

Somos offers several clear finished resins. I've thought about trying to get a batch done, but scared at seeing the pricing. So I'll just have a set or two printed in the general white you see and then urethane mold them.

I'll be trying a different resin to, as the ones in the textured ones had an extremely short pot life. I'm blaming the bubbles in the previous ones on that, as they were pressure cast.

So when do you see these being available for some of us to buy?

I'd say shooting for April 1st to get some enough batches done to the point where I could sell them would be best. If not, I'd probably only be able to get 1, maybe 2 our per mold, per day.

I'll keep you posted!

Not sure what you're asking. If its the lenses, they're mine. I ended up order some headlights off of ebay a bit ago.

update!!!

lenses being finished. sanded, cleaned up, and polished.... should have them en route to me soon! I opted to have them finish them, as it probably would have taken me forever.

Cool man, definitely save me a set. I will even pick em up so you don't have to ship.

Nice!

I have my molds finished for the OEM lenses w/ the texture, and should have a test piece coming out Thursday. Going to do the recommended post curing, otherwise I could pull it tomorrow.

I did do one, and it came out okay, no thanks to me opening the mold too soon! It was still soft and distorted the crap out of it. But, totally bubble free!

I can get out probably a set a day out starting Monday until I make some more molds. That'll give me the weekend to try and make a few extra molds.

Unfortunately right now I am limited by pressure chamber size, very small! So I can only pressure cast 1, maybe 2 at a time. I've been eyeballing some on ebay that should be large enough to accommodate a 6-8 piece mold. But nothing solid as of yet. Till them, I'll be crawling along!

Once I start getting them out, I'll start a new thread, seeing I think this one was initially LEDMod's or Dave's.

So I sorta jumped the gun. still came out alright. The diffuser texture was a bit distorted, but not sure if you can see that in the pics. And there were some marks where I messed w/ it a bit early. But those would clean up during finishing/polishing.

I've figured out a way to cast 4-6 in my pressure chamber, so will be making some new molds this weekend to accommodate that.

Hopefully will have the first batch of those done on Sunday. So things go right, I'll have 3-6 sets ready on Monday.
