Here, I fixed it.

I did also switch out the small #168 bulb in the low beam housing with a blue tinted #168 bulb, and it helped some with the "Blue" look, but you can tell from these pics below that even the high beam and the foglight has a much whiter and brighter light, with a slight bluish tint.

Right now, Sylvania is offering a $10.00 mail-in rebate when you buy a pair, so they end up being only a couple of bucks more expensive than the regular silverstars and these bulbs have a much longer life and are even brighter. I got mine at Auto Zone.

In this first picture, I've replaced all the bulbs on the drivers side of the car (the right side of this picture) with the Silverstar Ultras. It's obvious that they are much whiter and brighter and don't exhibit any of the yellow tint of the stock bulbs.

Here is a picture of the headlights on Bright, Silverstar Ultras again are whiter with a slight tinge of blue.

And finally, two close up pics of the headlight housings. The upper photo is the passenger side which has the stock bulbs and is noticeably yellow, while the lower picture is the drivers side, which has the Silverstar Ultras installed, and it's noticeable whiter with just a slight blue hue.

Let me know what you think, guys!

Question for the OP:
You did all your lights? lows, highs, and fogs? They look good by the way!

That look great! I just installed my high, low, and fogs. I can not wait until it is dark outside. haha. It is a fairly cheap upgrade and very easy to install!

So are Silverstar Ultras whiter (brighter) and have a slightly more bluer tint than regular Silverstars? I did the high beam conversion and it is brighter but does not look like it has a bluish look to it. To my naked eye, the light output just looks like a regular high beam halogen conversion. Although, it might be because I'm used to it but I'm pretty sure it does not look like the pics Joes06tc took.

I was told that Silverstars And Silverstar Ultras were the same.

Man it looks nice.

So is the 168 bulb the smaller light bulb? What product you use for that to make it bluish?

The 168 bulb is the parking bulb.

Now what Im wondering is where can I get a blue 168 bulb?
(non-led cause we all know the heat from the halogens will kill the LEDs within a few hours)

what sylvannia bulbs are closest color looking to 5000k (LED-like/diamond white)? the regular silverstars are white compared to my 5000k hids. i'm thinking cool blue or ultra, but i'm asking first so i dont spend 50 bucks or whatever for a pair of bulbs that are off.

can anyone tell me which silverstar bulb size I need for the oem headlights?
I just want something white and brighter than stock and still stay street legal.

ill pick some up this week.

also is there a tutorial on how to swap out the bulbs or is it an easy straight forward swap?

It's an easy unplug and plug in the new bulb swap, for the 2005-2007's; not sure how it is with the '08. I'm looking into the rest of your questions; I'll have the rest of the info posted up in just a minute.

The highs size for '05-'07 is 9005, it's an HB3 Halogen. The lows for the same years are 9006, an HB4 Halogen.

The foglights are 9006, too.

Looking for the '08.

So how does everyone like this setup at night? Is the light output better or is it just changing the OEM yellowish to more of a white tint, but not offering a upgrade in the lighting?
