The neat thing about my Overlays is that they are removable with little or no residue left behind .

Ok, betwen my taillights and Ska's.....this should put the vynal/nightshade sprays to rest. Spray is better.....heres my finished product.

There you go....step by step to the end. Hope you enjoyed. Thanks SKA for telling us how to do it....they rock.

well i guess i should put in my input since i helped out Bp4life71 with this.

IMO niteshades spray is better than overlays. overlays will peel and fade over a long period of time... i've seen it on my cousins camero. if you do everything right, spraying yer tails will last as long as yer car and will still look like glass.

my tails:

i am runnin overlays now and i see that the overlay color is more of a light/dark brown and not a nice black like spray. lets say i go spray...and i DO want to get rid of it, will paint thinner work without hurting my body paint?
i've always been kinda afraid to run spray b/c i dont wanna attract some cops attention ya feel?

Hey spongebox....if you did HAVE TO take it off for some reason or other.....you asked if it would hurt your body paint.....

My answer is this....I think it would dull it possibly....but the smart money would be on just protecting it from the thinner.

A better idea to thinner, would be a clay bar to take it off if need be. That way you wouldnt have to worry about your body paint. The claybar would take it all off with about 15 min. of using the clay bar.

I wouldnt use thinner...but if you were to use thinner.....just protect the body paint.

I like the spray too. You can do it to any darkness by coating, and looks professional if does right with wet sanding, prep, and the sorts.

here's my How-To i posted a while back for those of you who want to try this:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=82226

to answer the cop question... i have been pulled over for speeding and the police officer never said anything about the taillights. and i've driven by cops and they just don't seem to care. so far so good.
