How about a real close up shot FLEA? A lot of things look good from a few feet away... It looks nice from the pics, forgive me for being speculative but a rattle can on a car... I just don't see any way that it could work out as well as professional work :-P

Well here's something for you guys. That's not rattle can work. The paint was matched to my car (even used sample paint chips to match it perfectly) and shot using a professional spray gun (my SATA gun). The method for painting it via rattlecan is the same as the method they do it at a bodyshop. I do all my paintjobs at school or home. Forgot to mention that I am taking Auto Body Repair and Refinishing as well as Automotive Painting classes (already have 4 cars, numerous tail lights, interiors, and bodykits under my belt).
Also not all FM paint is the same, there's like 15 different variations, ranging from lighter, darker, more pearlescent flake, different hues etc.

Spray pattern, yes. Paint gun requires the paint to have a reducer, that way it's not so thick and doesn't clog the gun while you're spraying. Let me put it this way. If I were to rattlecan that lip, it would take about 1.5 to 2 cans to do the whole thing with 3 wet coats. A paint gun on the other hand only consisted of me using the equivalent to about half a rattlecan of paint. Much faster flash time (dry time). But if you know how to spray a rattlecan properly, then there is no reason why you can't paint the lip. It is possible to get the EXACT color of your car in a rattlecan, just have to have a sunny day and a paint shop that has multiple paint chips/color samples to match it to.
