Static Electricity

Static Electricity
Anyone know of a method to eliminate the buildup of static electricity in the tC's body? My paint attacts dust like a magnet. You can actually watch the particles being attracted by the paint....Kinda like a sock on a polyester shirt after coming out of the dryer.
Is there a grounding system that will remove the charge?

I don't remember what it was called, but several years ago there was a special wax that repelled dust, although I don't know if it's marketed any longer. Doesn't solve any static issue, but still prevents dust from getting on the paint. You might have seen it advertised on tv, seemed fairly impressive.

Grounding kits do nothing for this unless you plan on having one lead dragging the ground This is yet another of a million things that grounding kits wont do other than lightening your wallet.

Well I know with my old car, '90 Honda Accord, static shock was a big issue for me. I was told by my aunt that Honda sent out a recall or TSB about it to her because it was such a big issue. It turned out that the Michelin tires Honda put on the car originally were causing the problem.
As far as getting shocked when getting out of the car, I used to spray my seat with an anti-static stuff that I found in the aisle with the spray starch and ironing stuff at the grocery store. But be warned that stuff wasn't the best smelling stuff for the first few hours.

I used to have that "problem" with my car but it kinda stoped after 3 weeks. lol I didn't even want to close the door cause I knew what was going to happen...and it was not just a tiny shock, they were those kinda scream shocks that you can even hear the sound that it produces >_>!
