Default Suggestions for first modifications to a BSP

I'm a proud new owner of a 2006 BSP tC. I was wondering what should be my first modifications to it, you know the cheap and easy modifications . I was thinking about getting dark tint on the windows, however I live in Virginia and their tint laws are ridiculous... Oh well, I plan to break them hehe. I was also thinking about painting the rims, but the weather isn't so lovely now-a-days.

Currently the only modification to it is the best kind of headlights you can buy at Pepboys (stole them from my old car). Oh and my US Navy license plates, which I personally believe is the best upgrade any car can have

well you could find deals on a good set of lowering springs(i.e trd, eibach, hotchkis, etc.) that imo would be the best first mod so you kill the monster truck look.

Do you mean bulbs?

Tint, lowering springs, wheels, exhaust, intake... Just buy them all.

HIDs looks nice. Could tint out the tails.... People will flame me for this but you could also get the RaceLand Coilovers and intake (like 350 shipped for the two of them combined). I just got http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com...EXHAUST/Detail plus a 14in resonator (they welded it on) and getting the S-pipe for 80. Sounds incredible I think Chris (Crush) liked it alot too.

i'm selling a bsp oem big lip spoiler if your interested, but smoke out the front side markers, side mirror blinkers, third brake light, black eyelids, oh and get a chrome sleath bulb for the headlight blinker so you can get rid of that orange bulb...other than that you will need a drop and wheels too.

Yeah I meant bulbs hehe

How much do the lowering springs run? And what do they do to the performance?

And for the exhaust/intakes. I see that it seems Injen CAI is the intake everyone goes for but what is the best exhaust for the money?

I don't have much money because I'm in college right now so I'm looking for the cheap stuff lol

If you are trying to buy cheap stuff for your car i recommend you just stick to lights and crap like that. Buying cheap modification parts is just stupid, you get what you pay for in the end. Save your money $$ and buy legit stuff.

Save money, buy better. If you dont want to save, buy leds and cathodes.

Drop the _____ is my first recommendation.

Seriously the best sounding exhaust for the tC I have heard... I don't like rice sound btw so its a very quiet low rumble. Sounds like a domestic until I gas it.

exhausts are pretty much personal preference. OP youtube videos and decide from there.

Well, yeah, I'm not looking to buy cheap modifications, I plan to get the best I can when I can, its just that I want to make a list of mods to do in order, knocking out the cheap quick ones first then dealing with the rest.

So, TRD springs, Injen CAI, Magna exhaust eh?

thats exactly what I have trd springs which I love, injen intake which sounds great and a megan oe-rs axle back for some good sound. I got the exhaust and intake very cheap used other than that I would NOT pay full price for exhaust or intake! you can find them used somewhere

a badgeless grill (VRD, FIG) or foglights (APT/VRD) will look nice and both are cheap

Just my $0.02

If your tC came with the option spoiler "wing" plug the holes and remove pronto...
Besides that tint or a nice drop always does the trick..all three give a good noticeable change to the ride

Ah alright, thanks for all these suggestions, I'm certainly going to check them out. By the way, no I do not have that spoiler option, and already have fog lights that came as an option.

Also, does anyone have a favorite magazine or website that they order from ?

dezod.com, trdsparks.com, ptuning.com

All great sites!^^^

I recommend lowering it as well. If you don't want to eventually be slammed or don't care for ride height adjustment, then lowering springs will be fine. I would recommend hotchkis or tein htechs. If you have a stick, a short throw can make the car more fun to drive and make it more yours.

For an awesome short throw, visit:
doctorisotope.com

A badgeless grill always looks clean, and the most popular are VRD, Figure LLC (ebay), and the RS grills (rare/expensive).

Really, just do some research and think about what you really want out of your car and how you want it to look, then do it!
