sunroof will not shut. 1/4 inch gap in the back
i greased my wind deflector tracts with white grease, and i reinitialized my sunroof and windows several times but the sunroof will not fully close all the way leaving a huge gap in the rear. any other suggestions? thanks

now if that's fine, the other thing to look at are the two pivot points that "vent" the sunroof panel, those could be binding as well.

when you vent the roof, you'll see them that lift up the backside of the sunroof. was just wondering if those were binding. My thinking is that if the sunroof can't pull that pivot point down, then the roof wouldn't be able to move into its fully closed position. and that would leave that rear sitting up above the roofline.. sort of like when you "vent" the sunroof without opening it fully.
edit: they are massive 3/4" - 1" wide metal scissor looking pivot points. you can see them from the rear of the sunroof.. let me know if you need more detail.. wish i could find a pic of it..
