alright guys and gals, i looked for an answer so if its been done sorry.... anyways, i have the trd tail lights, last winter one got ice in it and the factory replaced it. However they made it a point to say that because it was installed after shipment, the warenty only lasts 3 months. Well its the next winter and what do ya know, i got a ice block in the damn things covering the bottom inch of the right light (btw the left one is still the original and has never had a problem). So heres my delima, I don't wanna buy another light so i took it out and tried to melt the ice, however theres water all over the place now and its leaving water spots on the inside, I figured if i could somehow get the clear cover off the front the rest disasembles easily to a point where i could fix it and put a better sealent on it so it dosnt happen again, however being a pansy and not wanting to break the damn thing i cant get the cover off, ive tried heating it with a heat gun and no dice.... any ideas anyone!?!?!?!?!?!?

 

to go to an extreme bake it crack it open (look under retrofit) take it apart clean it then seal it back up perfectly. but a new TYC shouldnt be much

 

The cover will not come off. You will have to use a dremel and cut it off. Look for yellowhoodie's Custom '08's thread...should see how to do it and reseal it there...good luck
