Default Thinking CF hood...but i have a FM tC

Well as the title states i am thinking about a carbon fiber hood sonetime in the near future, but my only concern is that my 08 tC is Flint Mica color, so it might not be all that noticeable, or even worth it as apposed to a white, or even silver colored tC, which would stand out nicely...i wish i could find someone who has done this, just so i can check it out...feel free to please post your feedback, that's why i post, it has helped me out big time in the past from making stupid mod decisions...thanks everyone

It blends to a degree but is noticeable to a degree as well. IMO it makes the car look unwashed in certain areas at first glance.

if your doing carbon fibre just so everyone know that you have carbvon fibre then this mod is not for you, if you are doing it to take weight off your car and because youwill like the look of it then you will be satisfied

Wow, maximthegreat....I don't agree with you at all! People that get carbon fiber weaves do it for shows and to draw attention. Many tc's that get Cf hoods do not primarily use them for racing. I would say if you want CF to show off do it.

never liked it on dark cars, personally on the tC its white, silver or red that looks alot cleaner.

i was ckecking out the Seibon VSII CF hood, and what i like about it is the vent opening on it, which makes it stand out a lot nicer, and as for price i just did a quick google and this one is $519.00, from
killertc.com

well thats what i was saying that it blends with the fm nicely and is therefore not showey(sp?) I dont think it will stand out on a fm, it will just be there

yo that will look sick on yours, as for me since my tC is FM, i will get it painted to match (the non carbon fiber one is cheaper too)

The only problem I would have with that, is that Flint Mica is hard to paint match. I think carbon fiber would look good on just about all colors, the only difference is its degree of noticability.

Whatever you choose is going to be sweet though. I was going to do the same thing on my SSM.

i would have to disagree, any good body shop, even the dealer with the correct paint code, should get it to match perfectly

unless the car is BRAND new then using paint by the paint code will not match 100%. paint fades slowly over time because of the sun and other elements.

I am going to to do the Kaminari Reverse Cowl also......but I am going to paint it to match.........I am getting the CF one even though I am painting it to match......never been a fan of fiberglass hoods.........but I like the vent to get heat out and also the weight reduction in the front end.......I think I will leave the under side CF though......

everyone here in the NW seems to have the CF or black hood........but nobody here has painted theirs......or at least very few.
