i would also suggest getting the harness. cuz my bro got HIDs w/o the harness. and it burned all his wiring together and messed eveything up. the harness enables you to connect the bulbs and ballast straight to the battery and not mess with anything.

^you'll be fine here in socal with HIDs without having to do a retrofit just to get HIDs, just get the 4300/5k which are white unless you want some blue then get 6k and you'll be ok with the cops even if you want to get 8k.

The install of the relay is very vague....how hard is it to put the relay harness on?

hey, I'm looking to buy some 8K hid's from hidextra.com. A lady at hidextra suggested 8k cuz I wanna be able to see well and I want a bluish tint to my lights. Does this sound right? Also, do I need to order any additional relay harness or anything to go with the hid kit?
Thanks guys

1) I'm not bashing anybody, any company, etc.!
I just called hidextra and spoke to a nice lady. I noticed the $43.99 HID kit minus the relay blowout sale. I thought to myself, wow that's a great deal! I asked some questions and here's what she told me. Their ballasts are 35 watts (she said only 10% less bright vs. competitors with 50-55 watt ballasts and the $43.99 deal is for the regular ballasts, not the slimline ballasts. Honestly, I've already looked at ddmtuning.com already (a friend told me about them) but because of the deal with choosing the desired color because of the 55 watt ballasts causing washout with lower kelvin bulbs....so I'm not sure who to order from. I'm one of those guys who would love to order a high-end kit for $100 or more but I cannot afford it. Therefore, I am forced with ordering the best kit that I can for around 50-75 bucks. Unless someone changes my mind I guess I'm going to order from ddmtuning. Anybody got other feedback at all? I don't have any issues or problems with any hid company, I've never ordered any hid's before. I've seen everyone's comments in this thread and some other hid threads so don't think I've not looked around before posting this.

Oh, and regardless of which company I order from I have a 07 with stock headlight housings. I'm looking to order whichever kelvin temperature bulbs that will give me a bright whitish/bluish tint. My main concern IS seeing well and not color. My second concern is the color. I just want to make sure I'm getting bulbs that DO have a tint of blue, not just a solid white color.
