I thinking about tinting my taillights. I already have 15% tint on windows and only gotten one ticket in a year. I just wanted to know if I tint my tails, can they give you a ticket for that too? Do cops care about tinted tails?

Depends on how dark the tint is on ur tails and it also depends on the cop who sees it.

so basically its the same thing as tint on windows...depends what kind of mood the cop is in? If i did tint them and got pulled over would it be 2 tickets one for windows and one for the tail lights?

Depends on if the cop would want to ticket you for both.(which he prolly will) lol

my tail lights are tinted pretty dark. like u cant see the inside of them unless you touch the break or turn on the lights, and i havent gotten a ticket yet... *knocks on wood*

Where in Jersey are you located? i constantly get pulled over for EVERYTHING i have done to my car by officers from the town right next to mine, which i try to avoid driving through. My car is a cop magnet, but only really in that town. My tails are tinted about 20% vinyl and ive never actually been pulled over for my tails. As long as they can still see some sort of reflection from them, you should be fine.

any kinda tint or anything like that to your tail lights is illegal and they have the ability to pull you over for it. you just gotta grab it and do it. I got tyc's and tinted everything but the brake lights.

tint them and deal with the cops when and if they pull you over..look at mine.mine are very very very dark..i have been pulled over n WV for speeding and got a waring for them and then just yesterday got pulled over in MD and they didnt every care...like they said it the cop and his mood

I had full tinted tails on my box for a while. Over a year or so. Never had an issue, even though mine were 100% illegal because they were super dark and covered up the reverse light. I dont drive or act like a jackass so I think that is why I never got hassled for them.

I live in SJ. The only county that I drive through that seems to care about tint is Woolwich, which is the only place I got a tint ticket for my windows. I have to drive through this town everyday to goto work. I guess if I decide to do it ill just deal with the tickets just like the windows... Thanks for the feedback
