Default Toyota Tinted Vent Visors

I was searching on TRDSparks and found these:

http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...6&parts_id=684

I was just wondering if anyone had those particular ones or any more info on them like how its mounted (in-channel + tape or just tape). if anyone has a pic please post it up it will be very much appreciated! I am thinking about buying some but if these are the same or similar to WeatherTech's then ill buy these cuz its cheaper.

Thanks.

I have seen those on some local tC's here and they look pretty nice. I cant answer your question as to the mounting... but just email Ken at trdsparks and he'd answer that question for you right away....I've dealt with him for years on my different tC's and always had great price and service.

side note...I checked out the link you had....funny how its supposed to be for a tC but the image listed is showing a 4-door sedan. lol

Also the AVS in channel ones might be cheaper than the weathertech ones.

Also watching to see how these install.

I have the AVS in-channel and they're just as good as the WeatherTech's, and more affordable.

i rather not waste money on a "name brand" when something thats also name brand does the same for literally half the cost.

but well see, if its a stick on with tape, then ill get the AVS.

Yea, the only difference between the avs and the weathertech rain guards is the weathertech ones go all they way down by the mirrow. The avs ones stop short. The quality is similar I think

To answer your question, the ones from TRDSparks are the AVS Ventshades... (the double-sided tape one) I'd know because i bought them from this website

I'm also selling it now too.. haha I went ahead and picked up some weathertech ones for like $70..

so my AVS ones are on sale! $30 picked up

Definitely go with the in channel visors, especially if you have or plan to have the carbon fiber door garnish.

I bought the ones from TRDSparks and they're the exterior tape. Nobody has tried to rip them off lol.

There are subtle differences. In-channel is more flush with the car, and the exterior ones are more out there (aggressive?). And like stated above, the Weathertech ones extend down more, where the AVS doesn't. Oh, and AVS offers in-channel ones too, but TRDSparks doesn't offer it on their site. I've seen the in-channel ones but don't know the site right now.

mine came off the freeway. i would stick with inchannel ones. the AVS inchannel has 3m double sided tape that goes inside. the ones your looking at you just 3m tape around the outside trim. i had a really bad experience with them. wind noise was annoying and it would flap. either AVS inchannels or weathertechs.

Thanks guys for all the comments.

I also received an email back from TRD Sparks and they said it is stuck on with double-sided tape on the outside of the window. Looks like ill probably be going WeatherTech then since people said the AVS ones stop short before the mirrors
