Default Trunk Handle

Hey guys Yesterday LIke so may of us Ripped off my Hatch Handle. I broke all but 1 bolt. I was looking and It looked like maybe i could glue the screws back to the plastic peace.

Has any one ever dont this and if so what kind of glue did you use or what should i use to try and do this.

I was also thinking about using the 3M double Sided Trim Tap That stuff works great.

I dont feel like spending 200 dollars on a little crapy peace of plastic

girlfriend ripped mine off one night.. ended up just super glueing it back on.
its held fine, had to reglue it again though recently because of other people trying to open it

doesnt look perfect but it sure as hell beats riding around with tape on holding it on or shelling out 200$ for a new one.

in the future, press the button, once you hear it unlock open from the bottom of the trunk, not the handle.

If the only thing that broke was the plastic tab holding the screw, there is an easy fix that i used on mine. Go to the hardware store and buy a bolt about the same size and a nut. Drill a hole in the remaining plastic tab and then put the bolt in it from behind. use to nut to lock the bolt in place on the plastic tab and there ya go, the bolt is now functional again.

So I used JB Weld and it worked perfectly and it only cost me like 4 dollars. I would recommend JB Weld to any one who needs to put something back together and make it stay.
