Underbody glow kit and car alarm
Is there a way to have your underbody glow kit attached to your car alarm? so that when you lock/unlock your car, it blinks with the rest of your lights?? And with the option to manually override that setting by using an on/off switch??

instead of wiring the little led bulb that comes with an alarm kit, just wire it to the box in which the neons attach to and u should be set.... the light output might not be as bright tho since you are powering more than just a little 3 mm led.

so... deffinately dont wire the lights off your status LED... it wont work and well just dont...
you can have it so when you arm your alarm it blinks once and when you unarm it blinks twice it will work like the park lights should now...
then you can diode isolate the switch.... basically so that switch power doesnt feed back into the alarm and you can control the lights seperately with a switch..
is that clear enough... just asking cause its makes perfect sence to me....

a diode is an electrical thing.. not really automotive.
it's a component that allows current to only flow in one direction.
can be used to turn on things without affecting other things (i.e. regular use of underbody without electrical flow to the other lights you wired to) or some relay system can be used as well.
and the parking light is that little 168/194 wedge bulb you got inside your headlight. it usually blinks when the alarm system is set, but not necessarily.. just wire it to something that does.

Since i will be messing with the electricity going to my alarm.. am I going to have to have it reset some how? I'm assuming it's best to take off one of the terminals on the battery correct?
