Default UPDATED: New Smoked Signal Overlays from Bat - PICS!

So I had to replace my driver's mirror a little while back and ended up having one mirror signal smoked and one not smoked... so it was time to order up some replacements.

My poor side mirror signals have now had 3 different overlays on them. First I had the amber overlays (and nothing on the side markers up front) to match the side markers. It looked OK, but I got bored of it. Then I had the 3/10 tint on them b/c I thought I wanted to stay with a lighter color... wow, now I can tell that was stupid. I ordered 6/10 tint this time and am MUCH more happy with that color against the SSM.

Of course, thanks to Bat sending me the wrong ones at first (he sent the front side marker ones instead - which were also previously 3/10 smoked)... my front side markers now match the 6/10 smoke as well. Thanks Bat! Hehe... I wasn't sure if you wanted me to send them back or not, so I used them... (Bat, if you'd like me to send the money for them, just let me know, no big deal).

Oh ya, and I redid my 3rd brake redout. I'm hoping it'll be lighter than the previous one I had one there b/c the color of it was just darker then that tails enough to bother me - though it looked OK when the sun was on it.

Pics from this afternoon:

And my lights are on in those first pics, so you might see the side marker on. They're definitely not "black" in person, but I think they look great.

Here are a couple OLDER pictures of what I used to have on there...

Amber side mirror overlay with nothing in the front side marker:

3/10 smoked side mirror and 3/10 smoked front side marker:

That last one was just after I got my class letters and numbers for autox... so of course I had to put them on and take a picture! Though I do run with them on the door, and not the rear quarter...

Does the amber corner on the passenger headlight on the last pic smoked too? It's kinda hard to tell.

In the last pic, yes, it is. That's part of the reason I wanted to go darker. (and it's a crappy pic)

What sucks is that after I saw how these looked, it made me want to get the windows done REALLY bad... but I don't have $175 right now to get them done.

Yeah... Best time to get the windows tinted would be around the winter season for cheaper rates.

I don't think they change prices around here... and actually I don't know how much tinting they do in the winter, since last time I knew someone that got it done at this place, they had to wait until it was a certain temp outside for best results...

It does change here in CA. I got my civic tinted all around Feb of last year and it was for only $80. They even removed the existing tint for free. They told me the tint prices start going up by May due to the summer heat and their suppliers pumping the price up. I ask them again June of last year, and they quoted me $185! IDK if they're rip offs but I guess they're not kidding about it.

So I just realized that in the third pic, the shape of the side mirror signal matches the black trim around the window and door...

Very nice! My side markers are smoked as well. I might get the mirrors smoked too now. =]

Ya, I'm definitely happy with them. I think the dark contrasts well with with the silver.

I'd still like smoked tails too, but have had nothing but bad luck with vinyl on them. I may eventually order from jonstintedtails.com... but it would be pretty low on my list.
