Who said its flat?
You shouldn't buy paint that already has clear coat in it.
So VHT Night Shades alone is flat but it should be applied as well as clear coat, wax, polish, etc. to get the nice clean shine you want.

Like them? They're for sale right now lol, seriously they are in the classified section.
It isn't really all about the clear coat. I used Duplicolor Acrylic Lacquer but there is a better kind out, I couldn't find it in the local auto stores though. It is UPOL #1 clear, i've never used it personally but i've heard it is better than Duplicolor, can be handled in 2 to 3 hours as opposed to Duplicolor which states basically overnight. You should do them in an area that has low humidity.
The important thing is getting your layers as even as possible, wet sanding A LOT and giving the layers time to dry.

Wet sanding just makes sure your coats are clean and smooth, not a lot of orange peel. Put it this way, the more wet sanding you do the easier it will be to obtain the shine. If you don't wet sand enough no matter how much clear coat, wax and polish you use they will come out like crap and dull.
