yeah, i'm running the standard ~$150 hella micro de. yeah it came with a halogen bulb, but i swapped that out for a H3 3000K HID kit. Looks effing awesome

and about them having a cheap plastic lense and not have projector optics..
the lense is glass, body is magnesium, and it has a projector in it

yeah kinda sorta. seeing as they're fog lights, they project very wide and low. this doesn't lend itself well to distance. they only go 3 cars or so ahead before the light tapers off.

I got the VRD's and the delivery was quick and easy, the people at Vertex Racing are very helpful and informative. that is pretty much the most important thing for me. plus the lights look freakin sweet!

Yeah just relays. Make sure to put a fuse for protection. :D

What all comes with the Micro DE's besides just the housings? Ok, what I mean is... I have the factory fogs and I want to get the Micro DEs with some HIDs in 'em but I just want to rewire it so that the current + and - going to the stock fogs go to the new ones... I've done wiring work before so that's no big deal, but what would I end up doing? Can I keep the stock harnesses or would I be cutting the wires and splicing 'em together? I just haven't looked at the whole set up yet.

Yeah I think you could reuse the harness provided with your OEM fogs. Just simply swap them. :D

the micro de wiring harness is fused @ 20 amps. the stockers iirc are fused @ 15. I dont want you to burn up your harness.

But basically the same. Just swap the 15A fuse for 20A.
