Default What If i did this to the HID Ballasts?

im getting HID's soon and i know the ballasts are not waterproof so iw as thinking last night what if i got some laminating paper from staples and laminated the ballasts, potentially making them waterproof. im not sure how the adhesive would hold up against the engine heat but i thin its worth a try what do you guys think

Unless you're converting your car into a submarine, there's no need for waterproof ballasts. It's just a gimmick.

^ Troof. Most people mount ballasts at the middle point height of the motor anyway, so like he said, unless you intend on going deep sea driving with the car it will be fine.

Even if it's ok to have a bit of water, you should put them somewhere it won't get wet.

My ballast's are mounted at the same level as the bottom of the headlight. They've had water dumped on them before, and get wet a lot, never had a single problem.
