If I put on my window visors now, can I still get my front window's tinted w/o taking them off?

go 5% all the way around, and get the kind thats 50% metal in the tint. keeps the car nice and cool.

if they are weather tech then you can remove then before you get your windows tinted, just remember that you can get pulled over for front tints and that is at your own risk...sorry but not tring to bash you, others on here get pulled and post up crying about it.

if you go with the right package they tint shop will remove it for you and put it back on to legal.

I had 5% all around but got pulled over for it 3 times. So I took the fronts off. I'm planning on getting them tinted again before I put weather tech visors on but this time maybe I should go 35%? It's not too dark but it gives me some shade.

go with 20% you can still see in very easy. 35% is not dark enough.

Just FYI, I had 18% all around for about 8 months and got pulled over constantly by LAPD and the county sheriff.

well any tint is illegal on the front two windows. usually a cops pulls you over for something else and uses it as an add on to the ticket.

Nope, I always got pulled over specifically for tint. I can remember several instances where the cop didn't even ask me if I knew why I was being pulled over - he just immediately came out and said "those windows are too dark". Most of these instances occured when a cop was coming towards me and then busted a U-turn as I passed him.

I never got tickets for anything else. It was always tint only. It's funny actually, I started keeping one of my tickets in my glove compartment, and every time I got pulled over for tint, I would just pull out the ticket and say "already got one, thanks" (in nicer words). A tint ticket was like a 6-week window of immunity from getting another ticket for the same thing.

But yeah, I couldn't take it anymore and I eventually went to the tint shop and had the 18% on the fronts replaced with 50%.

I know it's still illegal, but it was a calculated risk. I've had the 50% fronts/windshield for almost 12 months now without getting pulled over at all. It might not look very dark, but the heat-blocking benefits make it worthwhile.

I used to roll with my windows down when I had 18% tint, but try doing that when you have a female passenger. Also try doing that in the winter when it's cold and/or rainy outside. It gets old really fast.
