Very nice. Thanks for sharing the vid. How much did the 30 inch resonator cost you?

It was $105 installed at a local muffler shop. 30 mins labor and the cost of the part.

Thats what I paid at the muffler shop. He said he bought some stock of some parts they were discontinuing in bulk. If you contact a muffler shop Im sure they will have something or be able to get what you need.

Cutting and welding is required. The factory resonator is removed form the stock mid pipe via plasma cutter or saws-all, and the replacement resonator is welded in place along with mounting tabs to reuse the stock hangers.

Just about any exhaust will be raspy with an aftermarket header so a resonator is a good idea to help mellow out the sound, Some of the kits out there offer a resonator like the Creative Compacts and Draxas, but even kits that dont have one can be modified to have one. If you like a specific exhaust than go with it and see if you like it. If its too raspy then get a resonator installed and it should be a lot better.

where's the resonator located anyways? so you have to weld it to the s pipe and midpipe? is there any bolt on resonator?
The resonator is located on the midpipe in the middle of the car between the 2nd cat and the muffler. Its about 18" long and 5" around. There may be some kind of bolt in option, but with the cutting and fabrication of new hangers required, you are better of getting it done at a shop. They will get it done quickly and with better results than you can do at home with pipe cutters and exhaust clamps.

If you dont yet have an intake and plan to get one, killertc has a package including the aw header and injen intake for $513.XX Shipped. If you just want ther header I think CC has a good price.
