you guys are all complete idiots stop bashing... if u knew anything of the new 2.5 and or have seen it in person the block looks idetical to that of a 2az, the 2ar(2.5) is just a stroked out 2az with more compression, diffe3rent head, and other minor stuff,

THIS MEANS what ever tranny bolts to that black will bolt up to ours...now the only issue would be to get that tranny motor mount made to fit our car..



and for those who seek to drop the new 2.5 in there wait till the new tc actully comes and see if the motor mounts need messing with, after looking at a camry the motor mounts are different but things could change 4 the tc

I hope the 6 speed isnt the same ratios with just another gear, that is going to suck. It probably will be though.

 

my guess it the same gearing till the 6th and they will be like the vettes and have one that is geared extremely low for use on the hwy.

 

^ It'd be worth putting one in if you break your current one because I hate sitting at like 4k rpms at 80 mph when our redline is just over 6k. I hit boost instantly on the highway. They would have to strengthen 5th though.
