The ONLY thing that MAY be off-kilter would be the speed limiter because I'm not sure if it's based off an of RPM/Load/Speed combination or just speed itself. Based on my experience with my boosted 07, prior to turbo, it would crawl after 105 mph as if it's being limited already. Once turbo, it hits 127 hard enough to carry into the 130 mph mark. Now that I'm using an E-Manage Ultimate, it tapped 140+ the other day with the stock rev limit

sorry guys a transmission is mechanical and it all works that way. But i could see working with a extra gear that the ecu is not made for would mess it up especially if the last gearing is low for highway speeds and the rpms drop and the ecu might get scetchy. the ecu is made to handle modification to a certain extent I would still personaly tune the car for the gear ratios and transmission i have in it instead of hoping it will just work. Plus a hate to say if you are going to spend this kind of money you might as well do it right and get the thing tuned and built up to run right instead of slapping it in there and hoping it will work out well.

Throttle position + MAF readings and the 3v wideband AF sensor that comes on these cars would take car of all the tuning. The car does not care what gear or speed it's experiencing so absolutely no tuning would be needed I assure you.
140+ in the TC was actually quite smooth. No problems and I even changed a lane or two. I had 3 to pick from plus a shoulder and no cars in sight. I won't drive past my comfort level and this was a cake walk. Just make sure your tires are balanced properly. I'm lowered on TRD's with Hotchkiss F+R sways and strut tower bar. Very on center but a little light steering. No biggie. Two hands on the wheel is a good idea though lol.

^ you sir, need to stop talking, apparently you don't understand how our ECU works. It's extremely adaptive, hence how it throws no check engine lights with my turbo setup at 300 whp and I go over the speed limiter with it as well. People with headers get CEL's. I'm far beyond that. When you know as much about this ECU as I do, feel free to chime in. Otherwise, stick to the "search" button, or re-read my previous, and frankly more polite post.

LOL @ power curve..
dude i run regularly a 75 shot on my tc and a 100 shot for money runs..
you wanna talk about changing power curve? i can at any given point increase my power at any given rpm point by 100 at the push of a button...
my ecu works with it..
our ecu makes decision based on load, maf signal, and from wideband signals....based on each signal the ecu makes adjustments..you think the ecu know wether ur in 1st,second,3rd,4th,5th? no all it cares about it recieving feedback from sensors.
also the auto transmission have a completely different gearing than manual..people swap to manual transmissions and keep the auto ecu... total different gearing..do they need tune? NO
i ask nicely for you to stop please

your running 300 whp on a stock ecu with nothing else. i have swapped out enough transmission in enough cars to know what it requires to work properly all the time. i am gonna watch this thread for something y'all will probably more than likely never do to your car.

your talkin outta your hiney...
and he is tuned for his 300whp using a piggyback ecu all that does is add or subtract fuel..
kid move along
