2AZ-FE Made Without Balance Shafts? WIERD!

Did they ever make the 2AZ-FE without balance shafts? I bought an upper and lower oil pan combo that was listed in error under 2.0L RAV4 - It fits just like my stock one did but the housing itself is different.
There is no spot for the balance shafts at all. Not that I am putting them back in or anything but it caught me off guard.

The 1AZ-FE doesn't have balance shafts so it probably is from a 2.0 1AZ-FE

Your probably right it said 2L motor I thought it was an error - I am not too familiar with the 1AZ-FE hopefully it works

Ohhh yea fits great no fitment issues ....dont even need to plug the hole for the balance shaft delete.

1AZ-FE Upper Oil Pan fits 2AZ-FE Block! Chyeaa

Can the upper oil pan be removed without pulling the engine? may replace mine with the 1AZ-FE in the near future, thanks for any responses.

Nice that it is a easy fix to the balance shaft but for future reference most Toyota motors in the same family of engines have interchangeable parts

I currently have been building a 1.5JZ-GTE which consist of a 2JZ block and a 1JZ head ( JZ head flows better)
