Default 2AZ-FXE Pistons Installed

Just tapped these bad boys in still have to seat the rods to the crank hence the even depths. I noticed that no one other than jimmyjun has done this, but not to his car only others. So after trial and error with boost I was lucky to walk away with a clean block and decided since I had the block open to put these in. I'll keep you guys posted, once everything is back together i'll have more pics up and hopefully a dyno session. Yes the engine is still in the car--I don't advise doing this while it is lol, yes it can be done but not much room to work with and it would be much faster if it was out.

Looking forward to this. It sounds like hope for a N/A TC. I'm not a big fan of Turbo.

I'm going to be running 93 and I have 440cc injectors that I was using with the turbo setup I had. By the way the car runs completely normal with the 440cc injectors I installed them originally before the turbo so the car could get use to the new fuel trims. Scionfred told me to install them prior to the turbo install in case there was any hiccups with the injectors. This way I wouldn't confuse something going on with the injectors to be something wrong with the turbo setup. I have a split second enricher, but I don't know how well it will work with this setup because I'm not on boost anymore. As for now I'm just gonna run the pistons, I can't really justify spending $1600 for the ems and then however much for a tune.

at w.o.t., i would say meth injection, tune, or some form of race fuel blend to bump octane. i would think the bigger injectors would be good, my oem were said to be almost maxed out. normal driving should be no issue, since ecu has control.

Sorry it's taking a while for me to update this thread but I don't have much down time working two jobs and raising a family. Last night I finally seated the rods to the crank and torqued all the caps down, and later tonight I will be putting the bottom of the crankcase back on. Not looking forward to reinstalling the balance shafts and adjusting them, I've never done it so it worries me a little.

Leave them off, and just plug up the oil passage hole. I have it done on my new motor, stock rebuild. 3000 miles so far, 0 issues. Its internally balanced so no need to do anything else

I know I can leave them off, I'm just worried about the the drive and if it's going to be really annoying in the cabin with the extra vibration. My wife couldn't even deal with the vibration when I changed out the front mount for a poly mount. I couldn't either, it made the car feel old and annoying but it stopped all the wheel hop I would get lol. basically I would hate to leave them out, only to find out that I hate the drive ability of the car and have to put them back in.

Hey TimmerTC
Did you get Mark A, B, or C pistons. How did you decide on which one to get. Is there a stamping on the block that indicates A,B, or C.
