Any updates here? I've been researching the 2GR-FE myself for a xB2 swap, but this is the only scenario I know where someone has physically placed the engine and transmission in a Scion body. Looking for absolutely any and all information that can be shared. Tracking my research here:

My 2az has spun a bearing. Ive been looking into a 3MZ or 2GR swap if i can afford it. where have you found your info on what trans will mount up? 2GR-FE 3.5L V6 Information - MR2 Owners Club Message Board has good info on immobilized and non immobilized ecu's and compatible electronics. great website by the way.

Sticking my neck out here; anyone tried a similar swap like this for an auto?

My tc1 is about to go out, on the fence between a new auto stock tranny+turbo versus N/A something larger.

you might have better luck just snagging the entire drivetrain out of a 2GR camry

The auto trans for the 2az does not hold up well to large increases in power. You're better off going manual if you turbo. You may get some mileage out of a new auto with a trans cooler and keeping the boost 6 psi or below.
