so i got my car back.....

they blamed it on abusive driving and nothing else.. they're voiding my warranty because of that and they said its rare to see two trannys be messed up. i've had tranny problems ever since the first day i bought the car, they swapped another out in there.. or so i have been told.. and now they're voiding my warranty and i gotta fix the tranny on my own

File a Claim with the 3 B's Better business burro
Then call corporate and let them know you have had problems from the start.

=) im planning to do that next.. i already filed a complaint with the FTC about this. they protect consumers who has problems dealing with warranty issues at delaerships.. i know some inside ppl at scion and they're telling me to call the customer care and they said they should take care of me

one of the dealership techs said they saw me racing with a focus while i was going to the dealership... that focus was my friend and we were going fast... not racing... they've got no proof of how i was shifting nor do they have proof that i was racing him NOR do they have proof of how fast i was going. on the work order it says i was abusing my car...

why would they care even if they did see you...techs get paid by the amount of work they do so replacing a tranny it will take so time there for making a decent days pay....such bull shat going on these days...

i guess according to the magnuson moss act, my warranty should still be honored because the aftermarket part was not the thing that caused the problem... regardless they cant rule it saying i have been abusing my car.. but on the work order it says i have been abusing my car and hence my second tranny is messed up... i dont even know why my first tranny was messed up except all i know is that ever since i got the car the tranny was jacked up. right now im trying to find the number to toyota care.. i lost my packet thing when i got my car... anybody have any idea what their number is?

well i do believe your driving style is in no way a reason to void a warranty

just got off the phone with toyota/scion customer care... they said that once a field rep determines that the cause voids the warranty work, its gonna be voided regardless and they cant do anything but to honor that decision. they are sending me an arbitrary paper for me to fill so i am going to have my law teacher help me look over it and see how i should fill it out...

^ exactly... one of their tech guy saw me "Racing" on my way to the dealership but when i asked them how fast i was going, he couldnt tell me. i asked him what rpm i was at and he couldnt tell me. i asked him what gear i was in and he couldnt tell me. i asked him what time he saw me and he said around 9, then i said around rush hour right? yeah okay i was "Racing" during rush hour going... 40? while others were going 30... of course i was faster than everybody else but that doesnt justify me racing
