4-2-1 header or 4-1 header for tc?

4-2-1 header or 4-1 header for tc?
i understand the 421 gives better low end and 4-1 gives better high end... is this true?
do u see a dip in the low end from stock header with the 4-1, or is it just not as good at low end as the 421?

i dont know much but ive heard 4-2-1 is for mid range power? if anything it seems like 4-1 would make more power anyway since it goes directly from 4 to 1.. and yeah im pretty sure that those will fit the 09. i think the only thing that changed for the "2nd gen" would be the maf sensor location for the intakes

i got a 4-1 megan header.. and i drove someones car with a 4-2-1 header.... aaaaand 4-2-1 FTW!!!! the car feels better since you dont have to rev it up that much and the car will MOVE...
if you are about to ge a header go with a 4-2-1 design!!!!!

4-2-1 also sounds very raspy. but from what i've learned, 4-1 will yield more power because it gives each cylinder more room to breath, and also, there are fewer junctions for the exhaust to go through when they're evacuating the engine.

thats what ive heard... 4-1 is best for performance in terms of quarter mile or strait up racing... so i went with that as i plan to go to the track soon.... i got it new for $197 so im pretty sure that about as good as it gets

go with the 4-2-1 if your going to do mostly daily driving b/c thats when you will notice alot of mid range power as well unless your going to rev up to 5 or 6k/redlining it you won't notice much difference with the 4-1.
ALSO if you are going to go with the 4-2-1 monster motorworks/ weapon r are the best ones.
for 4-1 go with the Alphawerks headers if you can find them. all the other ones are basically pointless to put on imo

header is garbage right now im having a problem with my megan header and Greddy evo2 axleback, it sounds like such sh*t, and even NA is not worth it, ur not gaining much from a header anyway the basic bolt ons will most likely give u 8-10 hp IF your lucky. but for the OP jus get the 4-2-1 its always better which is why i regret getting my header, but tsudo or MMW is the way to go definatly unless u can find an alphawerks header then thats pretty good too but thats 4-1

you can look up on this very site that headers give you 8-10 wheel horsepower, this is without other piping changes....
i have nitrous, so this will help me as it will help push out the nitrous more than the restrictive stock header... also i have invidia s-pipe and a megan exhaust...
im keeping the midpipe to keep some of the rasp down, it shouldnt be too bad with the stock midpipe still there...
