Default 4th to 3rd downshift issues?

Ok i have about 33k miles on my tc and i dont know why but recently downshifting from 4th gear into 3rd at around like 35 mph with the clutch pedal buried to the floor it will still grind a little bit before going in. Any one experience anything similar to this? If im racing though for some reason if im cruising in fourth and i downshift into third around 50 mph its no problem and the car will just go into gear smoothly.

first of all, are you rev matching when you down shift or are you just droping the clutch on low rpms?

I think it's irrelevant if he's revmatching because he is saying its grinding while his foot is down on the clutch. Correct me if i'm wrong, but your driving in 4th, clutch all the way, switch to 3rd (with the clutch still down) and there is grinding in the stick? Sounds like a problem with either your gear forks or your synchro. Fortunately, both are covered under warranty, so get it in before that 36K mark. Does it happen every time?
