Default ACT Clutch Installed: Need Help

Need some help guys. Got the clutch installed and my installer said it won't shift into gear while the car is running, but it can when it's off. He told me the the slave cylinder isn't extending out far enough. I already bought a extended slave cylinder pushrod, but I guess it's not enough? Or is there something else that can be a factor?

Does this clutch require the extended push rod or can you just adjust the clutch pedal's engagement?

you should just be able to adjust the pedal engagement. I've heard of this with those clutches. I've personally never experienced it. I've done 2 clutches in Scions and never had this issue thankfully. I'd try the pedal adjustment and move on from there, hopefully you can figure it out w/that. Good Luck

the point of the extended pushrod is to have more room to play with the engagement point on the clutch, act clutch you can only max out the stock push rod so far which may not be enough for some people, its all about preference, some people like low engagement and others like higher engagement,i myself have this clutch, im on stock push rod,i prefer lower engagement...by the floor,

Well turns out I had to get a new slave cylinder, problem solved. Clutch seems pretty smooth, when I press down on it, goes a lot faster compared to the stock one, barely takes any effort. It's alright... I kinda like the feel of the stock clutch more.

Also I got the car back this morning, not sure what's could be the problem... but the car seems to be running pretty rich. I'm at a 10.6-11.7 afr while cruising, before the clutch job it was at 13.7-14.7 afr...

Also I hear some sort of metal 'squealing' sound... not sure what it is, can't source where it's coming from. But I'll try and figure it out tomorrow, any ideas also?
