Default ACT clutch slipping

i purchased a ACT street disc from Mike aka elevationtc that only had 1k miles on it. i had it installed by a professional shop who do good work and it just slips hard.

i had it installed so i could avoid this when my stock clutch gave out even though it was still holding strong.

Im running a greddy turbo kit at 8psi around 250~260whp and the clutch slips at 3300rpm in 5th. i dont get it.

is it the clutch or could the install be the problem?

Did you either resurface the flywheel or replace said flywheel when putting the new clutch in?

I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune. This is very interesting. I'm looking into a Clutch Masters Stage 4 6-puck to upgrade to before I boost, but I was also looking at ACT also since Dezod carries them and I'm going to drop by there this Thursday. I'm definitely curious to see what other ACT clutch owners have to say.

I'm at 325 whp 296 wtq and I have zero issues with act street disc.
I love it.
I'm sure that the clutch isn't the problem. That clutch is a good product. And Mike seems to be a stand up guy.
Please keep me/us updated.

Thats a weird issue.. unless the clutch was used for many more then 1K miles..

I'm running ACT clutch and had 35+ dyno runs while tuning the car and i'm currently at 398whp/375wtq and the clutch never even hinted on being weak...( knock on wood)...I'm running ACT HD street clutch.
