Default AEM Dryflow Oil-Free Air Filter

There has been a lot of talk about these, but very little actual information. From what i've read various places, this filter goes the same 20K miles as the regular air filters before they need to be cleaned or replaced.

I'm not sure if these dry filters can be cleaned (it says it can on the website below, but i wouldn't know how as the recharge kits involve oil).

I think they do a better job than the regular b/c they don't have the oil to mess up the sensor.

They are a little more expensive:
http://www.autoanything.com/air-filt...A2591A0A0.aspx

I also have no idea which size filter goes on my TRD Cold Air Intake!

Maybe somebody can help shine some light on these issues?

Ah, I found information on cleaning it. You put it in a solution etc, heres the website:

If anyone knows the size that fits on the TRD CAI, that'd be really helpful

Get the 5" Element and measure your CAI tube diameter for the inlet size.

Yea, I know its the 5", I was just hoping that somebody knew the inlet size as it is pretty exact and within a 1/4 of an inch of the next size. I suppose I can measure, but if somebody happens to know...thanks!

Anyone using one of these puppies?

Well I e-mailed ptuning.com which has AWESOME customer service might I add, and here is what they told me regarding the size:

If the TRD system does not use a step-up design in their intake tube, then you will need a 2.75" mouth filter. This is the size of your MAF adapter.
I guess they are comparing it to the AEM intake? But I have heard sooo many times that the AEM is the same as the TRD. So is it definitely the 2.75"? I thought the injen was 3" and the TRD is 2.5". Am I wrong?
If its the 2.5" like I think it is, here is the part #: 21-201dk

Curiousfish, what does that mean sold as a pair? A pair of what? I just need the dryflow filter...how do you like yours on your honda?

oh, sorry, didnt clarify. I clicked on the link to summitracing. Then clicked on the part number. Then I think it said "quantity: sold as pair", I am not sure pair of what.
The dry flow seems to work the same as the old oil type filters. I'm not really into engine dress up so the plain-jane looking filter is a plus.... but the major thing is oil. Although the Honda doesnt have a MAF sensor, oiling everytime can be a bit of a mess and a hassle.
btw: ptuning has pretty good prices on some things, especially when it comes out to be free shipping and 5% off.

Yea definitely, they have great prices.

I also e-mailed TRDsparks b/c that is where I got the TRD CAI, and they said:

It's 3.0.
So I have trdsparks saying its 3.0, ptuning saying its 2.75, and my logic saying its 2.5.
Summit Racing, who doesn't carry the TRD CAI, said that the AEM CAI is 2.5.

Somebody please help!!

well, there is only 1 way to be certain and it's to measure it yourself unless someone on here has experience with AEM/TRD.
Would the AEM/TRD be the same pipe diamter as K&N?

Why don't you just go outside and measure the diameter of your intake?

I don't have the cai yet. I'm getting it for christmas. I want to order the aem dryflow to go with it so that i don't have to use the oiled filters which there have been ALOT of debate over. If I wait for the cai, then I can't put it on for another week since i'll have to wait for the aem dryflow to come in, or I put it on with the oiled filter which i'd rather not do
