I think ZPI should remember it is not needed to reply to a few off comments. Your appreciated and well known. Everyone can have a bummer experience but the community has faith you will take care of any problems.

Default air box

I have recently added the Magna flow full cat back 2.5' exhaust kit. I like it, sounds good with little to no rasp. I also have the megan racing header so I was prett suprised.I got the full kit for 408. I have aquestion... I was in the shop when my mechanic was putting on my exhaust and he suggested that I drill 5 or so 1/2 inch holes in the bottom of my airbox. He said that it would add some pretty solid horsepower for free. He estemated around 10 but he said the torque should be really nice also. What are your thoughtS? I have order the CC s-pipe and will be putting that on this week I may due tha airbox holes then unless anyone says anything neggative about it.

I know i got a little out of hand and i apologize long day and working on a sunday. Darnell I took it a little to far and I apologize.

As far as the supercharger parts go we test fitted the pulley's and they fir perfect. We put the stock one back on with some gauges and are driving the car this weekend. The car does have our prototype big maf kit on it. We are trying to do some data gathering and run the 87 octane out of it that the dealership put in. We still have under 200 miles on the car.

We will be back on the dyno this week, we hope to have a big boost kit out soon with emanage and 550 injectors.

Thanks for the support and we will keep you posted...

cant wait to see the results. this could be the deciding factor on whether or not to get the supercharger or turbo.

Are their any risks with swapping out the supercharger pulley? I'm not sure if this is at all analogous to changing out the engine pulley.

well, depending on your dealer, they may void the warranty on the S/C, and possibly the engine if something were to happen. Basically, what it amounts to is running the s/c out of spec (smaller s/c pulley means it turns faster per crank pulley roatation, which means more boost). Some dealers are really picky about this, some aren't, just as some are very picky about after market parts, and some arent. Mine has pretty much told me they wouldn't care, so long as the boost is kept at a sane level.

You'd basically be putting more boost to the engine, than what toyota designed. Relatively small changes (up to 10 psi or so) probably wouldn't give you much cause for concern so far as reliability goes. The engine should be able to handle that quite easily. Beyond that though, I dunno. I wouldn't want to risk that without serious A/F management, among other things.
