Default any one have the TRD exhaust with a aftermarket mid pipe?

i want to add a mid pipe. im thinkin about buying the megan racing one and mating it to my trd axel back. just wondering how it would sound. looking for the same deepness of the trd just a little louder and i dont want to get rid of the trd. so i thought adding a mid pipe would be easiest since adding a header will mess with emissions and living in CA i dont want to get popped for a header then have to pay to get it removed and what not. thanks in advance.

same plans here, plus any issue you tell the cop it's all trd exhaust so it's less hassle. i found the megan for $198 plus $30 shipping.

i have trd intake (not carb legal, but i'm not in ca) and exhaust, i got a zpi mid-pipe in my garage, and a zpi s-pipe on the way. i'm going to get them installed over spring break. i'll let you know how it goes. sorry to say, but i don't really have time or money for dyno runs, but with the kind of driving i do, i'll know for sure if i made a real gain.

How much is the megan mid pipe? All I need is that and I would have that exact setup.

Im not 100% sure. I just know it has been done because there were people that bought the TRD exhaust but didnt know there was pretty much 0% performance increase ....so they added an Spipe to try and get the kink out. If I were you I would do it. It brings you one step closer to your goal. On the stock exhaust I know that there is a bottle neck on the spipe area because of its diameter.

how is that unethical? this is part of the reason as to why i want to add a mid pipe to my trd exhaust. trust me having to waste time and money to get a fixit ticket written off sucks and whats the point when you can prevent it. and please do not say why mod your car if you are afraid of getting caught.

lets keep this on-topic guys. is there any one that has just the trd axelback woth megan mid-pipe. from the sound of the trd axelback/megan mid and s pipe. it seems like it will sound decent as well as maybe add some extra power since backpressure wont be completly gone due to just one cat being removed.
