hahaha "simply remove...." my a$$ simply remove....how bout "simply remove your left front wheel, peel back your wheel well, possibly take off your front bumper, remove piping, reattach filter, possibly be where you need to go 2 hours late"

I think the restrictor plates are for keeping the speeds down...could be I'm mixing up this with something else, but the only reason to do that is to chop speed/power.
They made Chrysler do that when they came out with the Hemi's and started killing everyone else on the tracks...nobody could beat them fairly, so they got their 'nads chopped.

TMost cold air intake manufacturers, AEM included, have offered the following solution in the past: When it rains, simply remove the lower section of the intake, remove the air filter, and attach the filter to the upper section of the intake where it can act as a conventional underhood intake until the rain stops.
Yeah, right.
Show me one person willing to do this every time it rains and I'll show you somebody who just missed the prom. The real solution is to avoid puddles like the plague and never drive fast in the rain.

No, I did not read that article tC_skier and now that I did I see why you said that. You could have informed me about the post like a normal person though. You also could have done without the and . Thanks.

is it jus me, or does it look like this intake will mate up to the S/C..if you forget the portion before the bypass valve and dont put the BV in..you would be set, this is all based on my eyes

There's no maf placement on that second part and it needs a 90 degree turn to match up with the s/c unless you take the front part of the s/c off and then I don't think it's long enough so I don't think it would work although it would look pretty sweet.
