Default Anyone here have an SP2 and a 2.5" midpipe?

I searched but I didn't find a whole lot...

Specifically I'm looking for feed back from anyone who has only a GReddy SP2 with any type of aftermarket midpipe. (no headers or turbo or anything as that will effect the sound greatly - an intake and/or s-pipe is fine).
I love the SP2 but its crazy silent, I cant even hear it over my Injen CAI. So I want to step the midpipe up but I'm worried about it being too loud after deleting the oem cat and resonator. I just want to give it a bit more grunt.

atm I'm leaning toward the Megan midpipe with the resonator.

...after having the ZPI cat-back I'm done with loud.

I could go 2.25 or 2.5, it won't really make a huge difference in my app. For me the real performance factor will be deleting the secondary cat and the later possible addition of an aftermarket s-pipe.
This is my daily driver so to be honest my motivation to get a well resonated mid pipe is really 60% sound and 40% performance cause the SP2 is SOOOOOO quiet.

I believe the Megan is 2.5 and just pinches down to 2.25 at the rear flange for some reason. ...haven't read anything about the resonator being fake tho???

I had a full ZPI cat-back for all of a few days and it was beyond loud and even with two 18" resonators the steel is so thin that the cabin droning is worse than horrible at normal daily commuting semi fuel conscious cruising speeds (around 2500-3k rpm)

I have the Megan mid pipe with the SP2 but I also am turbo. After installing the Meagan pipe my SP2 did not get much louder at all. IMO it will not be too loud.

i have a SP2 + Megan midpipe + Megan S-pipe. adding just the midpipe to the SP2 made it noticably louder. later i added the s pipe and volume increased slightly. with all three the noise isnt that bad. its not annoying loud or a cop magnet. i dont have a sound clip sorry.

after i installed all 3 components, the midpipe rattles against the rear sub-frame. it is annoying. i plan on loosening up the spring bolts to see if it improves.

edit: btw, my intake and headers are both stock.

well that is good to know that there isn't any dramatic sound increase when adding the mid & s-pipes to the SP2

HKSpeed -
thats good to hear especially from you, I think we're heading the same direction with our modding (very mild since we have other 'wild' toys)

Any chance you make a sound clip for us?

This clip was just the SP2 and stock mid and S, correct? - https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=76398
lol. Mine seems even quieter than that.

just as an FYI, i asked the people at Megan Racing for the diameter of the Megan midpipe and was told the following by "Steve":

Go forth and spread my word to the forums...

2.4360" = ID (inner diameter)
2.5040" = OD (outer diameter)
