apexi neo
is this actually rather compatible for the tc? and how well does it work? basically just going to use it in place of a reprogrammed ecu or getting a new chip, but not going to a huge extreme with mods just a couple basics and some for better drivability. i got one for my previous car but got rid of it before i installed it so just wondering if its worth installing and tuning the car with or should i just sell it.

From what i know it doesnt work well with our car...i wish i would have known that before i got mine. i am just going to use mine as a gauge. From what i read it fights with the ECU and will not tune well. but i suggest that you not take my word for it and look into it more.

I have the Neo Installed - Not tuned yet though. In order to get it to work, you must disconnect both o2 sensors on the exhaust. This makes the ECU rely only on the MAF. This locks the ECU into whats called OP3 or Open Loop 3. In this mode, you can fully tune the ECU at any RPM range and the ECU will not over ride the tune. Make sure you or who ever does it knows how to correctly tine the Neo and make sure you also have a wideband o2 sensor to monitor your a/f ratios. Hope this helps.

ok so if i did that how would or could i pass emissions? that would be a big prob. i have one i just need to know if it will work. also if i can pass emissoins. i was thinking of getting the AEM EMS but i would have to think of a way to pass the emsissions test. let me know what you think.

Hey sorry guys its been a whilleeeeee and I stumbled onto this forum again some how....it does work....Disconnecting the primary o2 sensor on the exhaust put the ECU into OP3 open loop 3. That makes the car run a 10AFR at all times. You are able to adjust all RPM range...Most likely you will not pass inspection and it will throw a CEL.
