Default ARC Induction Box installed!

So i got my ARC induction box the other day and i put it on in like 3 minutes...
and the gains are so noticeable. The sound is awesome! It sounds a little deeper than that of a CAI and when you get on it...it gets on. Here's some pics of it in my dirty engine bay and then some pics of my newly debadged rear end when i was bored the other day. Enjoy!!

If the ARC induction gains and sound are as pleasant as you say, I may forgo the Injen CAI I'm interested in and go that route instead. Got any links to dyno tests before/after? So far I haven't seen any videos of tC's with the induction box.

Really clean look with the debadge and carbon fiber rear lift. I think it'll look good on my NB tC...

**edit** I see in your pics that you had the Injen CAI installed before... you prefer the ARC over the Injen CAI? If you could better explain the pros/cons I'd like to hear. I'm about to make a purchase one way or the other in the next two weeks.

1. Where did you get it?
b. How much was it?
Finally, will it pass in CA?

i just dont get why they charge so much but dont provide thier own piping. looks good but if you plug the silencer with a 1 1/2 inch cap it might get it louder. hows that ark sound?

I originally got rid of the Injen because of a ticket for illegal intake here in cali. I got the ARC as a hook up and it's simple to install and i love the feel and sound after the install. I don't have any single dyno's of before and after because that would be a waste of money to me...pros = easy to install/uninstall, sounds great, feels great
cons = expensive
Injen...
pros = feels and sounds good
cons = harder to install and still not cheap

and no, it will not pass in CA due to it not having a carbon filter

so, where does the ARC box induct air, thru the red meshy element on top?

and if so, how is that supposed to be cool air? it would probably be intaking warmer air than the stock extension pipe in the fender well...and with the hood closed, there wouldn't be much clearance on top of the box to draw air anyway, right???

or does it have a hole on the side....

it's not a cold air intake...it's closer to that of a short ram...and the red thingy on top is one of the filters...it has another on the bottom

It's OK, I have one.

I just wondered if it would be possible to modifiy the piping from the Injen so that it would work with that.
