If you plug up that resonator you'll get a deeper longer lasting sound

It just dosent make sense to me that you would want that induction box over a CAI because there is no way it makes more power, IMO.

By the Way,
what exhaust is that?

IMO I think that the induction box is a really nice piece to see under the hood. Id like to have one, but until someone comes up clean ram-air hood that works with the box (something similar to a mini cooper inlet) ill hold off.

listing it for about $455. I mean if you've got the money why not, you know? Although I don't..lol.

Does it look like you could cut the Injen piping to fit it up to the ARC box so that you wouldn't have to use the black stock piping?

Not that I would recommend cutting an Injen intake, but you could buy a crappy one off of ebay and perhaps do it that way.

I just ask because I have the Injen on now, but I didn't keep the stock intake.

You probably can cut the intake piping for it to fit.
The differences between the CAI's and the ARC box is just that the ARC box gives more in the high end...about 3800 rpm's and up where as the CAI's have it a little more in the low end...2500 - 4200 RPM's. They both give about the same #'s as hp gains, but as BoB said earlier about heat soak...it does happen with this...but after warming it up a little...no problem (little bit of driving and revving). It is extremely expensive for an intake and like i stated earlier...i got hooked up! Cheaper than an Injen. So unless you got the cash...just go with Injen. I like this because i can remove it a hell of a lot easier next time i get pulled over and my hood popped!

A friend of mine got an ARC box for his S2000 a while back and paid about $500 also. He dyno'd before and after and lost 15 horsepower over stock. Heat soak was also a killer in stop and go traffic from a dead stop. Can you say bog off the line every time? Needless to say he went back to the stock airbox. It looks and sounds good but that's about it.

if he's "bogging" off the line because of heat soak...then he needs to learn how to warm up first and heat soak is no longer an issue

No driver error was involved. Trust me it was only an issue when the ARC box was on the car. Florida in the summer feels hotter than Africa with 100 degree heat and 100% humidity.

S2K is a bit tricky w/ NA mods, but I'm sure you know that already.

Obviously different cars with different engines will respond differently. .....But I wouldn't expect any power miracles from the ARC box. It is unique and good looking and I'm sure has a nice intake growl. I also owned an S2000 for 3 years then a Turbo Beetle now a S/C TC. I love all of them in different ways.
