I did it. Everything went really smooth and yes I plugged the oil galley. I definitley notice qucker acceleration through all the gears and it revs soooo much faster now. The only downside i see so far is the revs drop very quickly, especially with the ac on, so you have to shift alot faster. It's really not that bad though. As far as the vibration goes, i have poly motor mounts, so my car vibrates anyway. If i run into any problems i'll let you guys now.

It only took a couple hours for the teardown, but the longest wait was for the rtv sealant to cure over night. I'm actually gona try very hard to do a DIY for the balance shafts removal this weekend. I snapped a bunch of pics yesterday, so i just need to write it up. I know alot of people would like a DIY for this. 1st gear traction is almost nill. Guess my next mod will be some sticky ___ tires! looking to dyno by the end of the month. I'll keep everyone posted thanks.

Actually i used the sealant for the oil pan gasket. For the oil galley, there is a bolt hole right beside the galley for the shaft "case". I cut a 2 inch strip of aluminum and drilled a hole on one side. i stuck the bolt through the strip and torqued it down. it kind of makes a plate that covers the galley and the bolt keeps it tight, so it wont leak. i also made a 2 inch "snake" out of jb weld and pushed it up in the galley before i bolted the plate down and also used loc-tite on the bolt. There is now way this thing is coming out. It's kind of hard to explain, so i'll try to get some pics posted for you.

I don't know why i forgot to mention this earlier, but i also have the NST underdrive crank pulley along with the flywheel and balance shaft removal. I know that is ALOT of weight taken off the rotating assembly. My next question i guess is i've been thinking about purchasing the rest of NST's pulley kit (water pump pulley and alternator pulley). If i do get the rest of the pully kit, do you guys think that would be too much? Don't get me wrong all 3 mods i've done so far(pulley, shafts, and flywheel) have made a HUGE difference, but like everyone else on here i'm always looking for more. Any thoughts?
