this has no affect on the engine.
the only purpose it has is for the comfort of the driver and the passangers.

Can you even feel a difference with 6whp? Doesn't seem worth it for such a low gain & risking premature failure.

why doesnt anyone understand...
this mod has nothing to do with premature failure if you do it correctly.
if your shooting for high HP numbers this mod SHOULD actually be performed.

Honestly, although freeing up HP is a great side effect, reducing rotational mass and drag on the engine is worth it for those looking to get the most out of their tC... and if anyone has had the pleasure to ride in or drive a tC with a lighter flywheel and removed balanced shafts, the procedure becomes priceless. As for premature failure, the balance shafts have more to do with reducing cabin vibration, and there has been thousands of race miles put on the same engine to prove that this procedure will not cause engine failure.
