Default Battery Install. Now CEL, Car Stalls and Won't Give Gas? Help

So I installed a new battery, and now all of a sudden the care won't stay on unless I give it gas and in idle stay under 500 rpm, when I punch it for gas it cuts fuel immediatly and CEL came on?

I have a SRI so im thinkin it has to be something like that? IDK?

please help anyone! im struggling now I cant even drive to work. should I let the car ECU reset? what the hell should I do?

is your MAF hooked up or perhaps a vacume hose got pulled off,but check wires, unhook battery, let sit, rehook and let idle for 5 min to relearn map.

bzinn nothing was moved just disconnected the battery put a new one and that's it, you think maybe I have to let it sit and just idle out to relearn? I drove around before and it idled fine after awhile but punching it made it boggle.

maybe I just have to let it idle and relearn it?

that actually sounds like it could have happened. my friend (toyota mechanic) laid it down it probably touched the pipe of the intake. wow I never knew that could happen? so you say your MAF sensor died out? im taking it in to toyota tomorrow morning he's gonna fix it for me. ill see what's the deal. but thanks man!

Cars at toyota. and the MAF sensor was shot. so new one was installed and CEL is gone. so that's the first thing.

now the car still doesn't want give gas. I can cruise and go up to speed slowly and normal (60-65 on hwy) but lets say I wanna punch it to get on the hwy with a lot of speeding cars, ill punch it and it will boggle bc of giving it to much gas and when it does I try to keep my gas peddle down and it just won't go anywhere till I let it go and slowly rise the rpms..wtf??

idk its at toyota now, so im hoping they check everything. last nite we were checking all the tiny ones and the EFI one. but ill definatly send my friend a text to tell them to check it.

another guy at toyota said to clean the throttle body sensor or throttle body itself? idk wtf that's about. but you say to check the big square fuses in the fuse box?

that does sound like a throttle body cleaning issue. I woulda thought it was the MAF but since that was fixed and your still having problems I am wondering if and ECU isssue arose from frying the MAF? Maybe a slight possibilty. What intake is this? could it be an ebay intake that the pipe diameter is way wrong for the model year tC you have? just some ideas to help get the thinking process going.
