get a decent nitrous wet kit for around 500 or 600... and use the rest on getting a cold air intake, header, and exhaust... look for used intakes, headers, and exhausts here on this forum, get the nitrous kit new....

pulleys work really well too... if you add all of what i mentioned above, you will see over 200 wheel horsepower depending on the size of ur nitrous shot...

im an auto with header, cold air intake, nst pulleys, s-pipe, exhaust, and 65 shot nitrous... im seeing 200 or over wheel when i spray.. and even higher torque... if ur manual ull see a bit more than that... youll TOAST v6 mustangs with that setup
I'd say just toss a bottle in and you're set. Just don't go crazy with it.

exactly.... if u want the hands down BEST horsepower bang for ur buck... go nitrous... just make sure u research what you are doing so u understand everything... it is no where near as complicated as people make it out to be... its horsepower on call...

if you go super or turbo charger... you WILL wear your engine down much much faster... people go 2 years without major problems and feel accomplished... what does that tell you? nitrous is on call horsepower and will not hurt your engine as long as u know what you are doing

You could ALMOST say the same thing about Turbo. But fact is may people that try these things do NOT know what they're doing. Turbo or n2o.

ya.. i guess with turbo you can not use it if u stay off the pedal because it doesnt spool up, but even then there is still more stress on the engine at more times than with nitrous...

Ya, that's why I used "almost" ... There is definitely more stress there but I think it can be done.

Wrong. Any form of forced induction will cause extra wear and tear. Be it nitrous, super or turbocharger. They all do it. The tune and how its driven, more than anything else, will determine the extent of damage, NOT what form of F.I. you use.

As long as you know what you are doing goes for all of them, not just nitrous. You can just as easily blow an engine on "nos" as you could from "boost" so don't dilute the kids head with the wrong "facts" that you so eagerly put down.

im not hiding facts at all... its a FACT that if you have a super or turbo, you will be boosting more often than if you have nitrous... therefore, you are putting extra stress on the engine MORE OFTEN... yes, u can blow ur engine with either... but its a FACT that the engine wears down MUCH faster with super or turbo chargers...

dont know why you would even dispute this

Running nothing at all can ruin your engine it all depends how well you take care of your engine. If you beat it and redline it everytime you drive and not keep up on maintance it's going to ruin your engine. If you sc, turbo, or nitrious, make sure you do your research first and keep up maintance on your engine and get a good tune and your setup should last.

Don't forget that that 4 hp you scavenge from bolt on A, B, or C may end up in a different area of the torque curve. The tC isn't exactly the best platform to turn into a powerhouse. It's a great compromise between performance and economy.

Trade up to a RWD platform and a V6/8 or some F/I? As for being a kid . . . be happy you have a car and it's reliable. Nothing sucks like having an unreliable car (even if it can shake loose a bran muffin at idle).

I actually heard that the shafts in the sc go bad before the engine.

NITROUS, its safer than people make it out to be....in lots of ways safer than turbos and s/c's but stick with a 75 shot or lower and make sure its a wet shot....

the best/ cheapest nitrous kit is the NOS sniper efi kit it runs about 300 dollars comes with everything ull need to get your self 75 hp and about 100 more tq
